Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
Meta Studios Creative Agency K.K (株式会社)("we", "our", "us") operates the DualShot Pro Camera mobile application (the "App") and the website at dualshotpro.com (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information.
This policy applies to both the App and the Website. By using either, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect From the App
Information You Provide
The App does not require an account. You do not provide us with any personal information directly through the App.
Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services
To monitor app stability, understand how features are used, and deliver important update notifications, the App integrates the following Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous product interaction data (such as feature usage events, session counts, and screen views), device information (model, OS version, language, time zone), and a Firebase Installation ID. This data helps us understand which features creators use most and improve the App accordingly.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects anonymous crash reports, exception data, performance data, application state at the time of a crash, and a Firebase Installation ID. This data helps us identify and fix bugs quickly.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — collects your Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token and a Firebase Installation ID, which together allow us to deliver in-app update notifications. We do not use push notifications for advertising.
The Firebase Installation ID is anonymous to a device — it is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal identifier. We do not set custom user IDs in Firebase, and we do not enable Google Signals or share Firebase Analytics data with Google Ads.
Information We Do Not Collect From the App
- We do not access, collect, store, or transmit your videos, photos, or any camera content you record.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not use cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- We do not collect IDFA (Apple's Advertising Identifier).
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
2. Information We Collect From the Website
When you visit dualshotpro.com, we collect the following:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous traffic and engagement metrics including pages viewed, session duration, approximate location derived from IP address (country and region only), device type, and referrer source. Used to understand visitor behavior and improve the site.
- Brevo (mailing list) — only if you voluntarily submit your email through our Ambassador Program signup form. Brevo processes your email on our behalf to deliver newsletters and update announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Cookies — see the Cookies section below.
3. Cookies
The Website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary — to remember your cookie consent preference.
- Analytics — set by Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregated site usage. These cookies do not personally identify you.
You can decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner shown on first visit, or manage them in your browser settings at any time.
4. How We Use the Information
- To monitor and improve App stability through anonymous crash and performance data.
- To understand which App features are used most, so we can prioritize improvements.
- To deliver important update notifications and new feature announcements.
- To send mailing list emails to subscribers who opted in via the Website.
- To improve the Website's content and user experience.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Third-Party Services and Data Processors
We rely on the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
6. Data Storage and Processing
All video and photo recording, editing, and processing in the App occurs entirely on your device. Captured media is saved directly to your device's local storage or Photo Library. No video or photo content is ever uploaded to our servers or to any third party.
Anonymous analytics, crash reports, and push notification tokens described above are processed by Google's Firebase infrastructure and may be stored on servers in the United States or other countries where Google operates. Google maintains appropriate safeguards in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
7. Data Retention
- Firebase Analytics: Retained for up to 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
- Mailing list emails (Brevo): Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Website analytics (GA4): Retained for up to 14 months.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data under laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the United Kingdom GDPR, and Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI):
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to deletion — request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to object or restrict processing — limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Right to opt out — opt out of analytics by declining cookies on the Website, or contact us to request that we exclude your Firebase Installation ID from future analytics processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dualshotpro.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
The App and Website are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction under applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Because we use Google Firebase and Google Analytics, anonymous analytics and diagnostic data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Where required by law, these transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved mechanisms.
11. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App or Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
